As good as original

I've had my Brass Candle Lantern for about 30 years. It has never failed me. Recently my fumble fingers dropped the original glass chimney and it couldn't survive the concrete floor. I ordered two replacement glass chimneys and they are 5-star! I'm good for at least another thirty years of camping with my lantern (as soon as I get some more candle!).

Like new

Probably would have been cheaper to buy a new lantern once shipping was added, but then I'd still have a lantern with no glass, so what's a person that doesn't like waste to do? New glass works just like the old one so I'm back in business.

Quality has dropped.

The original UCO candle lantern glass has rounded edges at the top and bottom of the glass chimney, from approximately 15 years ago when they were made in the USA. This rounded edge protected the glass from chipping. The new ones are made in China and have sharp edges at each end and are much more susceptible to chipping. The quality of this item has dropped and it is no longer worth the premium price the UCO brand commands.
