from 405 reviewsI have not had an opportunity to use this yet. With winter coming I may have to wait.
The Morakniv Garberg BlackBlade isn’t just tough on paper—it proves itself when you’re out there. On a damp morning in the Cascades, I used it to split kindling from a soaked log after an overnight rain. The carbon steel blade bit deep, the black anti-corrosive coating shedding moisture like it was nothing. With a few strikes through the grain, the firewood was ready, and a campfire was burning minutes later. The ergonomic handle never slipped, even with wet hands, and the leather sheath felt solid on my belt the whole time. It’s a knife that earns your trust fast—built for real work, not just display.
The Morakniv Garberg Grand S is built for serious outdoor work—whether you’re setting up camp, processing firewood, or preparing food in the backcountry. Its longer stainless steel blade delivers power and precision for everything from carving to batoning. The full-tang design and ergonomic handle offer exceptional strength and control, while the handcrafted leather sheath keeps it protected on every journey. A true companion for adventure, from deep woods to rugged trails.
These are cool. I bought some of these for two purposes. Some of these went into my home and auto emergency kit. The others I am putting aside for a spring outing. I like the fact I have one completely weatherproof product that serves two purposes; match and tinder. Should make fires super easy. I previously carried cotton balls soaked in Vaseline. These are much less messy.
Great kit. I have one in every vehicle and tackle box and camping kit and day pack.
Usually I do food prep when I'm camping with either my EDC or my bushcraft knife. This paring knife cuts food so much better. The thin blade makes slicing meat or veggies much easier and I can cut pieces with a consistent size. I'm thinking about whether it will make it into my bear can for shorter backpacking trips.
It came really sharp and I appreciate that it has a sheath so nothing else in my kit will get cut.
This takes egg transport to a new level. I was finally able to ditch my 30 year old yellow thing that I kept closed with a rubber band.
The perfect thing to have in your kit when you need a fire right now. Rain or shine these things work like a charm
We take these backpacking with us. They are perfect for a cup of coffee or oatmeal. They pack down small and are fairly light. They have a good handle so you don't have to hold it while it's super hot. They stack well too. For what it's worth we have the small, which is plenty sufficient.
One item of many I've purchased from UCO Gear. No surprise that it is a well made piece of gear that should give me good service for many years.
Must have items for your backpacking and emergency situations. At least in my book^^
Love that you can pop it in a cooler and the eggs stay safe and uncracked. Those soggy egg cartons are the worst and this has been my favorite piece of gear I’ve used this summer! Grab a few
This UCO firepit is a perfect addition to any camping gear set. The firepit folds up and needs very little space to bring along and is light enough to pack in to your campsite destinations. It's easy to set up and get a fire rolling especially if you are using the UCO fire starters. We love this fire pit and as a bonus its smokeless, yes it really is! It exceeded all our expectations.
I wanted one since they came out, but cost and getting them in the UK is more difficult. Amazon UK from the USA.
I brought it for camping and Jeep overlanding and for this weeks holiday it been utter fantastic. Warm, cooked food on it and NO Smoke in my eyes.
It works great for a portable grill. I'm amazed at how small it folds down to. It opens up nicely to a sturdy grill that just works to do it's job.
