It offers a very strong yet flexible blade that allows fishermen to be in total control while filleting their catch. I love this knife more than any other fillet knife that I have ever used. I know my knives and knife steel and this knife has better edge retention than any other fillet knife that I have ever used. The shape is also good for panfish, but it has proved to be superb at going around bones in fish such as northern pike!
TRUST ME, DON'T BUY A CHEAP FILLET KNIFE FROM , BUY THIS ONE.
I don't have to sharpen it nearly as much as any other fillet knife that I have used.
The steel on this is sandvik 12C27 and has a 55-57HRC on the rockwell scale, which is amazing for a fillet knife. I have never had this knife rust on me either.
