Exploration and outdoor adventuring have continued to be an important part of her life, and she can't quite decide if she's more at home in the mountains of the PNW or the canyon country of the southwest. Her chronic wanderlust means she is always thinking about the next adventure, whether it be a nearby hike or a project half way around the world. She is a National Geographic Explorer and Explorer for The Outbound Collective. You will likely find her out on the trail and chasing the light with camera in tow, a silly grin on her face.

Berty Mandagie - UCO People

Berty Mandagie

Passions: Photography and a good adventure
Collaboration: UCO Gear tester and advocate

"Berty Mandagie is a professional photographer based in Seattle, WA. He specializes in wedding and adventure photography. Berty embarked on his photography journey in the summer of 2012 where he received his first camera as a gift by his aunt in Indonesia. He then started exploring and adventuring to only fall in love even more with photography. He began taking portraits of his friends that would join him on his early morning adventures. Then slowly but surely, the most vital part of his photography happened to be the storytelling aspect of it.

He used photography as a way to tell stories about his and his friends' lives. He then began to use Instagram to start documenting his adventurous journey through photography (more of his work can be found on his instagram).”
